Get prepared for the Career & Internship Expo!

Each year Baldwin-Wallace Career Services works to bring our alumni and current students a great event that can benefit everyone in one way or another. This year has come up fast, and we are excited to be hosting the 2011 Career & Internship Expo in Lou Higgins Rec Center on Thursday, November 3rd, 2011.

The Expo will be held from 5:30-8PM and professional dress is required. For examples of what professional clothing looks like, take a peek at the displays in front of the Candy Counter in the Union or check out some great tips from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. So what can you do to help you be prepared? Here are some helpful tips:
• Pre-register on B-W Career Network before Wednesday, November 2nd.
• Create/Tune-up your resume.
• Work on your “elevator speech”, or a 30 second pitch that describes yourself and your goals to a perspective employer.
• Print copies of your resume to possibly hand out/leave with employers.
• Know what employers are attending & make a list of the employers you would like to meet.
• Research the employers you plan to meet.
• Attend programs held by Career Services to help you with your prep.

How to Prepare for a Career Fair Tuesday, November 1
6 - 8 pm Student Union, Sandstone 3

Resumania for all Majors Wednesday, November 2
3 - 5 pm Career Services, 104 Bonds

Express Lanes (Walk-in Advising):
Mondays 1 - 3 pm Recreation Center, Tressel Lounge
Tuesdays 9 - 11 am Kamm, 1st Floor Snack Room
(There will be no Express Lanes this Thursday, so make sure you get to one of the other dates if you need to have your resume looked over.)
